It’s one week until the Yorkshire Evening Post’s prestigious Oliver Awards close but there’s still time to enter, if you haven’t already.
The awards celebrate the best of the best of the local dining scene, with categories for things like best chef, best service and best newcomer plus separate awards for different types of cuisine, from Indian and Italian to best cafe and best fine dining.
The awards were launched seven years ago and have now become a calendar event in Leeds, with dozens of restaurants entering each year.
This year has been no different, with more than 199 individual category nominations, from scores of restaurateurs.
Previously, YEP editorial director Jeremy Clifford said: “We are so fortunate to enjoy such a vibrant restaurant and dining sector in Leeds and the wider region.
“Our Oliver Awards are a proud reflection of the quality we experience on a daily basis.
“Since we launched the awards, they have quickly established a fierce reputation and competing for one our accolades is keenly fought.”
He added: “So we already know that this year’s awards will attract the very best across every category form around the region.
“We want to see the regulars and the new entrants. Being nominated and winning is widely recognised.”
