A Pudsey dance school which has taught talented youngsters who have gone on to perform in West End shows is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The family-run Hazel Bell School of Dance, which was set up by its namesake aged 20, reached its half-century this month.

Hazel’s two daughters, Virginia and Michelle both followed in Hazel’s footsteps by beginning to dance from a very early age, and now both teach after attending Royal Ballet School in London.

Michelle said: “We pride ourselves on nurturing each and every student and are proud to have seen many pupils continue to have professional careers in the dance and musical theatre world after completing their training with us.

“We have students who have been in West End shows, UK Tours, world cruises, blockbuster films and much more.”

She added: “We are so excited and proud to be celebrating 50 years of the school and hope that we can continue to achieve fantastic results for many years to come.
