Leeds College of Art celebrates over 100 years of local heritage

Leeds College of Art is holding a free heritage open day to mark its 170th year anniversary. and the Heritage Open Days 2016 festival.

There will be a tour of their 1903 purpose built art school at Vernon Street, Leeds, where internationally renowned artists such as Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Damien Hirst all once studied.

demos will be held in their black-and-white photography darkrooms, where people can have a go at their own photography. Children’s drawing and printing workshops will also be available.
