A new children’s climbing centre is set to be created in Leeds after plans to transform storage space were approved.

Boem Leisure Ltd is to build the facility at Unit 3 in the Tristram Centre, on Brown Lane West, in Holbeck.

A cafe where parents can sit and watch youngsters climbing is also due to be created at the site.

Seventeen people are set to be taken on as full-time employees at the centre.

There will also be a reception area, briefing room, toilets and baby changing facilities.
