Two men have been charged with wounding in connection with a disturbance at a Leeds casino and were due to appear at the city's magistrates' courts yesterday.
Donovan Naylor, 23, of Chellow Street, Bradford, and Mohammed Ayaz, 26, of Altar Drive, Bradford, were arrested after officers from the Leeds City and Holbeck Division armed with warrants raided a number of addresses in Bradford as part of inquiries into the trouble at the Alea Casino at Clarence Dock, Leeds, on October 31.
In the disturbance four men had suffered head injuries and considerable amount of damage was caused to the premises.
Naylor and Ayaz were each charged with three counts of Section 18 wounding with intent and one alleged offence of violent disorder.
During the raids four men were arrested in relation to efforts to pervert the course of justice.
Two were bailed on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and two 24-year-olds, both from Bradford, were released on bail on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice.
One of the 24-year-olds from Girlington, Bradford, was also bailed on suspicion of money laundering.
