Leeds 'carjacking': Police say they've had no report of attack on female driver

An incident in which a woman was apparently 'carjacked' on a Leeds road has not been reported to police.

A woman claimed on social media that she had witnessed the shocking incident on North Parkway in Seacroft just after 3pm on Wednesday afternoon.

She said she saw a gang of six masked man pull up alongside the woman's car and drag her out before punching her as she lay on the ground. One man drove the car away while the rest escaped in a white Transit van.

The Facebook post attracted hundreds of comments from shocked members of the public asking about the woman's welfare.

However, West Yorkshire Police said they have had no reports of an incident matching the woman's description.
