A boutique bowling bar has undergone a £30,000 investment in a bid to become the go to venue for sports fans.

Roxy Lanes has had six supersize 60 inch screens installed, two, three metre wide projection screens and a private screen above each bowling alley as well as a new menu for those that are hungry for some sporting action.

It is kicking things off on Saturday with the Manchester City v Liverpool game which gets underway at 12.30pm.

And for Premier League games throughout the rest of the month there will be free pizza at half time giving footie fans a taste of the ‘Roxy Champions Feast’ which is a dirty yet delightful combination of pizza, smoked chorizo, mac and cheese balls, onion rings and cheese and bacon fries for groups of four to six people.

There are also beers in the fridge for the boys and the tomboys among us can enjoy the action with a cocktail instead as they are two for £12.

Roxy Lanes, on Bond Street, has just celebrated its third birthday and is run by Matt and Ben Jones who are from Leeds. Following several concepts they have been working on re-branding their consortium of bars across the north.
