The public have been warned that they may hear gun shots in Leeds later today.

The Royal Armouries sent out a tweet to tell people that gun shots would be fired at around 1.15pm at Leeds Dock on the Southbank of the city today (Sunday).

It is part of the World Wars event that is taking place.

The tweet said: "Public notice: As part of our World Wars event there will be a gun firing at 1.15pm today on @LeedsDock.

"We apologise for any disruption caused."
