Bar Soba is back.
After stunning fans when it closed earlier this year it is about to mix things up at Greek Street as it takes over what was the Bem Brasil restaurant.
The venue is about to undergo a transformation which will see it decked out in Bar Soba’s signature urban luxe decor and Geisha-style graffiti, following the move from Merrion Street.
Downstairs will boast an 11-metre long cocktail bar which will serve up cutting-edge cocktail creations (think smoke, fire and ice) and the best Asian beers while the ground floor will have an integrated DJ booth which is set to be spun by DJs from Leeds, Europe and beyond.
Upstairs in the 60-seater restaurant, the new food menu blends the cuisine from the streets of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China and Vietnam.
Dirty Katsu Fries with buttermilk chicken, Sriracha and mango mayo, and the Coconut Onion Rings with chilli-lime mayo is one of the menus hot picks.
On the drinks front you should look out for Bubblicious – a wow-factor cocktail, blending Finlandia Grapefruit Vodka with Xante Pear Liqueur and glittery bubblegum foam.
Gillian Soutar, group marketing manager, said “We had an amazing three years on Merrion Street and our Greek Street venue will see us REMIX Bar Soba Leeds to bring our guests an even better drinking, dining and dancing experience”.
A launch party to really set summer on fire if you are lucky enough to make the VIP guest list is being planned for July to mark the new opening.
