Meet Lulu – the Dalmatian from Leeds who’s always assured of a five-star welcome at one of London’s smartest hotels.

Lulu has been picked as an official mascot of the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane, which is undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment.

She was recently treated to a VIP day out at the hotel with her fellow mascot – Domino, another Dalmatian, from Thetford in Suffolk.

Bosses at the Sheraton Grand decided to go with two members of the breed as much of the classic Disney film One Hundred and One Dalmatians is set in Piccadilly’s Green Park, opposite the hotel.

Lulu and Domino were chosen from hundreds of dogs whose pictures were sent in by their owners.

Lulu’s owners are Marc Cunliffe and Ann Hodgson, from Roundhay. Ann told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “She seemed to have a great time at the hotel and got on well with Domino, which was nice to see.”

To celebrate its refurbishment, the Sheraton Grand is offering special packages for dog owners from now until August 31.

The deal includes an overnight stay for two people and their dog as well as breakfast and a complimentary walking service in Green Park.

A gift bag packed with doggy treats is also on offer for the first 20 canine guests.

Today marks the 55th anniversary of the release of One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

Lulu has her own Instagram page, @lulu.dalmatian, for people who want to keep up with her adventures.
