Five fire engines called to 10-acre field fire in Leeds

FIVE FIRE engines have been called to a fire covering 10 acres of crops and woodland in Rothwell, Leeds.

Firefighters were first called to the scene, between Third Avenue and Bullough Lane, at about 11.30am today.

They are using six large jets, a hose reel and beaters to tackle the flames.

Crews from Rothwell, Hunslet, Garforth, Normanton and Wakefield are in attendance.
