Leeds City Council’s director of children’s services has given the go-ahead for a contractor to be appointed to carry out refurbishment work at the school.

And the director has approved a competitive tendering process for new building works at the school.

A report to Leeds City Council states: “The school took an additional reception cohort of pupils in September 2016 which was able to be accommodated within the existing school accommodation.”

The report to the council’s director of children’s services adds: “There are sufficient classrooms within the existing school to accommodate the reception pupils that will join the school in September 2017 however whilst some additional accommodation will be required by this time, the majority of the additional accommodation will be required by September 2018.”
