Lanes re-opened on M1 near Leeds after accident

TWO lanes of the M1 southbound near Leeds which were closed following an accident have been reopened,

Highways England had advised motorists to expect 15 minute delays following the lane closures between junction 42 at Lofthouse and junction 40 at Flushdyke.

West Yorkshire Police said the lanes were closed after a car and a lorry collided just before 12pm.

No-one was injured in the incident. Both lanes were re-opened at 1.30pm.
