Nicola Adams and the Brownlee brothers were among Leeds’s cast of stand-out stars at the Rio Olympics.
But the list of top local performers at the Games also includes Leeds-based video production agency Fresh Cut.
It travelled to Brazil to film with Team GB during the run-up to the Olympics and has also put together videos with the Brownlees for the new British Triathlon website.
Now Fresh Cut is celebrating the closing stages of a landmark year – the firm opened in 2006 – by offering to make free promotional videos for six Yorkshire businesses or charities.
The agency’s creative director, Rick Frier, said: “The last decade has been an awesome journey for Fresh Cut, we’ve built up a huge team of creative talent and we’ve been commissioned by some of the UK’s biggest brands and agencies.
“Seeing our client base grow as it has done this year is testament to the hard work from all the team.
“To give something back to the city and support those who are starting out, just as we did 10 years ago, we’re offering six local businesses or charities a free video to help showcase them to new online audiences.”
Fresh Cut has worked with clients including the National Lottery and the NSPCC as well as Adidas and a range of other lifestyle, sports and food brands.
The firm’s visit to Team GB’s Olympic training camp in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte saw it making a documentary piece for BBC One.
It also worked with Paralympian powerlifter Mick Yule – who lost both legs serving with the Royal Engineers in Afghanistan – to showcase the difference that National Lottery funding makes to good causes.
