Kitty Cafe Rescue is a UK-wide operation which lists cats in need of a re-homing and matches them with adoptive families free of charge.
The website's mission statement says:
"Our mission is to make sure that every kitty, regardless of its situation, finds a loving home and has a long and healthy life. Kitty Cafe uses its high street presence not only to promote and facilitate the rescue and rehoming of cats in the community, local rescues and abandoned cats, but to set the best practice standards by ensuring that all of our kitties have all of their vet care taken care of at our own expense."
Kitty Cafe also has a site in Nottingham, and Kate is planning further expansion in future.
The Leeds cafe was fully booked until February as soon as it announced its opening date last autumn.
