HUNDREDS of runners of all ages put their best foot forward in the Sainsbury’s Pudsey 10k.

Around 800 fundraisers got in the running for the sold-out event, which also included two fun runs.

Youngsters got involved in a 400m fun run followed by a 2.75km family fun run, before the main event – the Pudsey 10k race.

Participant Geoff Webber-Cross said on Twitter: “Really enjoyed it – even the hills.

“Fantastic marshalling and great goodie bag.”

Nicola Barnett said: “That was a goody but a toughie. Smashing marshals and really well organised.”

Josie Davis said: “Wow! Pudsey 10k was the hardest 10k I’ve ever done! Totally not expecting that!”

Organisers Pudsey Pacers said they hope the event will help raise £2,000 for Marie Curie Cancer care and children’s charity PhysCap.
