The social media sensation has gathered a fanbase of 718,000 followers on Instagram, where he posts 15 second videos of how to cook meals including curries and stir-fries.

His cookbook, Lean In 15, which includes recipes and work-outs, sold over 110,000 copies in its first week of publication – beating rival healthy eating cookbooks from Jamie Oliver and Deliciously Ella.

Prince Henry’s was the only school that Joe is visiting as part of his book tour.

He said: “I know that a lot of kids have got involved with my message on social media, and I just want us to have fun.

“It’s so important to get kids involved with healthy eating at a young age.

“They will take the habits they learn as children into their teenage and adult lives. There’s no reason a 15-year-old can’t whip up a quick stir fry – which is far better for you than eating rubbish food like chicken drumsticks all the time.”

Joe’s recipes are nutritious and healthy, but he did reveal that our region is to blame for one of his greatest vices.

He said: “One of my favourite things in the world is Yorkshire puddings.

“I do still treat myself occasionally to a Sunday roast. My nan used to make me massive ones.”

Jo Temple, acting head of PE at Prince Henry’s said: “Joe’s visit was a great success. Sixth formers loved working out with him and he really put them through their paces.”
