THE BEER garden at the Kirkstall Bridge Inn normally enjoys fine views of the River Aire.
But yesterday the river got a little too close for comfort after bursting its banks and completely submerging it.
The pub building in Leeds was not affected. And neither it seems were its owners.
Undeterred by the rising flood waters, Steve Holt and John Kelly headed out to the garden for a pint or two.
Their afternoon drinks are now causing a storm on social media with various tweets celebrating their devotion to enjoying a pint.
The flood waters have since receded but the pub is said to be braced for the effects of more rainfall tomorrow.
