Ilkley festival first to motor out

Classic vehicles are to '¨be rolled out at Ilkley Carnival for the first time at the popular event on Monday May 2.

A wide collection of vintage transport from Daimlers and Triumphs to Austins and Jaguars are expected to take position on the East Holmes Field showground.

Carnival committee member Colin Watson said: “The committee is constantly looking at ways of evolving the carnival and we have received requests over the last couple of years for vintage vehicles.

“Four months on and we have a truly varied collection of vehicles taking part.”
