Hunt for luggage thief who stole iPad and personal items from train at Leeds

Police are hunting a man who was caught on CCTV stealing an iPad, suit, shaver and other personal items from a train at Leeds.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for information to help track the offender, who boarded the London Kings Cross to Harrogate service at Wakefield on Tuesday March 8 just after 5.30pm.

The man boarded the train with a female companion and removed the collection of personal items from an overhead luggage rack before leaving the service at Leeds City Station at around 7.45pm.

PC Katalin Zelei, from BTP, said: “We’d like to speak to the man pictured who we believe may help out enquiries into this theft. I’d urge anyone who knows his identity to contact us.”
