AN OPEN day held at local community football club Guiseley AFC saw hundreds of people attend ahead of the club’s re-submission of their development plans for Nethermoor.

Visitors had the chance to look at how the facilities would be improved and chatted to staff, officials and volunteers.

The club’s chairman, Phil Rogerson, said: “It was a really positive afternoon for the club and we certainly took a lot away from it.

“We hope they felt reassured by our plans and are clear that we simply want to improve our facilities to an appropriate level – allowing us to better serve our fanbase and the wider community.”

ON THE BALL: Guiseley Juniors and Guiseley AFC members, as well as Action for Children representatives, who also attended.
