Huddersfield fire crews free man trapped in car after crash

A man was trapped in a car this morning after crashing into a wall in Huddersfield.

Two crews from the town's fire station were sent to the scene in Newsome Road, Newsome, just before 5.30am.

A spokesman said the man was freed by firefighters before being taken to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics.

Gamble Hill Croft, Bramley is one of the Leeds tower blocks earmarked for new fire safety work.
