A partly-built ice rink next to Elland Road in Leeds collapsed.
Eight wooden struts fell in high winds just after 10am yesterday. (Nov 22)
There we no reports of any injuries.
Mark Johnson, director of the Ice Rink Company, which is creating the rink, said: “I believe there is a problem on site but I don’t know the extent of it.”
He added people were on site yesterday and a full assessment of the damage was due to take place this morning.
Mr Johnson added that there was no suggestion that yesterday’s incident would end the project, which has been hampered by delays.
