Boxing favourite and people’s champion Frank Bruno will be talking about his life and career during an ‘Evening With...’ style event in the ground’s Centenary Pavilion.

Guests can tuck into a three-course meal while comedian Jed Stone hosts a question and answer session with the man they call Big Frank.

“It’s the first time he has been to Leeds for a while so people can look forward to a great evening.”

London-born Bruno, now 54, made his professional debut in 1982 and had 40 wins from his 45 contests.

He lost world title fights against Tim Witherspoon, Mike Tyson – twice – and Lennox Lewis.

The highlight of his career was outpointing Oliver McCall to win the WBC heavyweight crown at Wembley in 1995.

Bruno isn’t the first famous face to have graced the Centenary Pavilion in recent years.

Other ‘Evening With...’ events have been held at the venue by stars such as Al Pacino and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger’s appearance in 2014 proved particularly memorable, with 29-year-old audience member Dean Goulding proposing to Jessica Eddy, 25, on stage at the end of the night.
