Dogs Trust Leeds is appealing to people to donate prizes and time for its summer fun day.

The annual event raises thousands of pounds for the re-homing centre’s homeless hounds.

Organiser Sarah Hey said: “This is our main fundraising event of the year and we are in desperate need of more volunteers to give a few hours of their time and help run the stalls, serve refreshments and even direct traffic.”

The summer fun day will be held at Dogs Trust Leeds on August 6 from 11am.

To volunteer call volunteer coordinator Alex Hartley on 0113 281 4945. To donate goods visit the centre or call Sarah on 0113 281 4937.
