Heartburn remedy Gaviscon posts ad mocking new Leeds United crest

It's the badge that has set social media alight - and now heartburn remedy Gaviscon has got in on the action in mocking Leeds United's new club crest.

The business posted this very cheeky image on its Instagram poking fun at the Elland Road faithful's new badge tonight.

In the ad, which seems to have taken days to create and sign off, the slogan beneath a copy of badge, but in Gaviscon's colours, says 'United Against Heartburn'.

It comes after footballing guru Gary Lineker compared the new logo to a case of bad heartburn.

The club has already vowed to carry out further consultation on the new badge.

Meanwhile, fans have been coming up with their own new versions of the badge.

The storm over the badge led to Leeds managing director, Angus Kinnear, telling the YEP that Leeds United will now carry out further consultations with fans about the crest.
