A call has gone out to help find the superstars of the health world.
There’s still time to nominate in the Yorkshire Evening Post Best of Health Awards 2016.
We are looking for the most deserving health workers to be recognised through these prestigious awards, which are taking place for the fifth year and are sponsored by West Yorkshire firm Sovereign Health Care.
It’s a chance to say thank you for the dedication and skill of those who look after people when they’re at their most vulnerable.
There are 10 categories, for doctors, nurses, midwives and teams, as well as for emergency response workers, mental health workers and community health workers.
We’re also looking for carers, both paid and unpaid, as well as unsung heroes who normally stay in the background. There’s also a chance to put forward an incredible individual, team or family for the Special Recognition award.
Nicola Furbisher, editor of the Yorkshire Evening Post, said: “We know that so many of our readers really value the care and support they get from people working in the health sector, whether that is from their doctor, nurse or another professional.
“This is your opportunity to put forward these amazing people for the recognition they deserve – we want to hear exactly how they have improved your life.”
After the closing date of October 19, our judges will pick the winners. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to a glitzy awards lunch at The Queens Hotel, in Leeds, on December 5, when the winners will be announced.
