Leeds residents are being urged to rethink unnecessary visits to A&E as the city’s hospitals face winter pressures.
A new video by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTH) is reminding people that they should only attend A&E in emergencies, and could often be seen more quickly at community services like pharmacies, GPs or NHS walk-in centres.
It comes after the trust revealed it sees hundreds of people each year attending A&E with conditions that could be better treated in the community.
The video features a number of LTH emergency department staff giving general health advice to try and stop people accessing the wrong services over the holidays.
