A NEW burger bar in Leeds is beefing up the city’s reputation after being named one of the country’s top buns.
Boss Burgers has been voted the fifth best burger in the UK on the TripAdvisor website.
The news comes as owners Adam and Mark Ketteringham celebrate the launch of their third Boss Burgers restaurant.
The Harrogate brothers launched their first site in Hyde Park last year, followed by Harrogate in April 2015, and opened their new venue in Chapel Allerton just last week.
Adam, 28, said: “We didn’t know anything about it until the media started getting in touch.
“It’s fantastic news.
“What I think makes us stand out from the rest is the quality of the meat we use.
“We do everything in house, apart from the buns which we order.”
Adam, who has been in the hospitality and catering industry since he was 14, uses grass-fed Yorkshire cattle, with select cuts from Dexter, Longhorn and Galloways going into the patties.
He added: “Since we opened the new branch it’s been manic.
“People have been waiting a long time for us to open in Chapel Allerton.
“It’s a nice little suburb of Leeds and has a very strong independent scene, which is what attracted us to the area.”
Rox Burger in London claimed the top spot, followed by Meat59 in Torquay; Burger Brothers in Brighton; Burgers Off Broadway in London and Boss Burgers in Leeds.
The TripAdvisor ranking has been compiled according to reviews and opinions submitted by website users.
