Generous donors have doubled the fundraising tally for a tot with an aggressive form of cancer in just two weeks.

Since the Yorkshire Evening Post revealed that Kendal Middleton Jessop, who is nearly three, was fighting neuroblastoma, an appeal has been inundated with donations.

The total now stands at nearly £7,000, which will pay for treatment abroad if Kendal – from Swarcliffe, Leeds – relapses.

Another £1,000 is set to come from a walk which 400 people took part in at Roundhay Park, while £2,000 was raised through a charity meal at Skyliner fish and chip shop in Colton.
