Generous shoppers at Tesco Leeds Seacroft Extra help to raise almost £500 over the weekend.

The National Charity Partnership Big Collection for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation, with support from Tesco, collected donations over two days, bringing in a total of £490.88.

There are currently 7 million people in the UK living with heart and circulatory disease and 3.2 million people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, of which 90 per cent have Type 2 diabetes. A further 630,000 people also have Type 2 diabetes, but do not know this yet at they have not been diagnosed.

Organisers want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated so generously.
