The pup, who suffers from horrific ‘knuckling’ that limited her mobility, was found wandering the streets of Leeds as a stray and brought to Dogs Trust Leeds by a member of the public.

She is now on the road to recovery and is finally able to play and run after intense physiotherapy.

More than 600 people offered to give her a new home and now she is set to move in with the Beaton family in Bradford.

Owner Helen Beaton, 50, is a professional dog walker, as is her daughter Kimberley, 21.

Her other daughter, Emily, 18, works in a dog friendly cafe that even has a canine menu.

Kimberley said: “I was gobsmacked when we heard we had got her as I knew there would be hundreds of applicants for her. “We filled out a form anyway, and now here she is.

“We are over the moon.”
