Handmade doll’s house needs a loving home of its own

It could make a doll of a Christmas present for one lucky child, and it’s being offered for free.

Pudsey-based theatre group Fulneck Dramatic Society is looking for an ideal home for one of their stage props, a hand-built doll’s house, which took centre stage in their recent production of Ibsen’s drama: A Doll’s House.

The show’s director Alacoque Marvin said: “The house was built specially for the show by the Society’s president, Dougie Brennan. Dougie has been a joiner and carpenter for over 60 years and, at the age of 80, is still working full-time. It’s unique and a real ‘des res’ for dolls.
