It is estimated that of the 75 per cent of the population who give to charity, only seven per cent leave a gift to charity in their will, mostly to large well-known charities. This means that local grass-roots charities are generally over-looked, despite the vital role they play in transforming the lives of those in need in our communities. The Leeds Fund is giving people the option to leave a gift to their local community and provide a vital long-term source of funding for community groups.
