Girl taken to hospital with burns after house fire in Leeds

A young girl was taken to hospital suffering from burns after a fire at a house in Leeds today.

Fire crews were called to the terraced property on Mafeking Grove, Cross Flatts, just after 5am.

The fire was located in the attic bedroom of the house and is not being treated as suspicious.

The girl, thought to be aged about six, suffered burns to her legs.

The youngster’s parents were at home but were not hurt in the incident.
