Get virtual view of Leeds sights

The Bruntwood Virtual Reality Booth is available to try on the north concourse at Leeds railway station.

It offers virtual experiences for Leeds audiences who are invited to enter the booth, don a headset, and explore the VR phenomenon.

Kate Vokes, marketing and HR director at Bruntwood, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering, for the first time, with Leeds International Film Festival. Films available to view include a sneak peek inside the new platform development at the former City House next to the station – currently being developed by property company Bruntwood.

The new building is not due to open until next May, but viewers at the Bruntwood Virtual Reality Booth will be the first to preview the view of the city skyline from the roof garden in virtual reality.

And newly commissioned for the 30th Leeds International Film Festival is Welcome to Leeds, a City in Bloom: a 360 degree film journey 
through Leeds’ most famouslandmarks.

Created by Surround Vision, the journey starts at Leeds Bridge and transports viewers through the city’s most beloved landmarks, from the Corn Exchange to Leeds Dock, to the University of Leeds’ Parkinson Building and the newly-opened Victoria Gate shopping centre on Eastgate.
