Germaine Greer among star names to visit village stage near Leeds

Big names will take to the stage at Otley Courthouse this summer including author and feminist Germaine Greer.

The outspoken Australian will spend an evening talking to allcomers on Saturday May 30 as the headline name on Otley Courthouse’s star-studded summer programme.

Stand-up comedian Patrick Monahan will bring his Monahan Land show to the venue on May 23, before the man behind the music of West End hit Warhorse and acclaimed folk musician Box Fox will perform on June 10.

Yorkshire gardening expert Joe Maiden, regularly heard on BBC Radio Leeds, will visit on Friday June 12, sharing his best tips and giving advice live on stage.

New York banjo player Curtis Eller will then bring his band The American Circus to Otley on June 15, before Leeds band Hope and Social will return to the Courtroom stage on Monday June 25.

Otley Courthouse is set in a 19th Century magistrates’ court and stages events seven days a week.
