Seven candidates are vying for the seat.

Armley, Bramley, Stanningley, Farnley, Wortley and Kirkstall are the areas that come under the Leeds West constituency banner.

Considered a safe Labour seat for a long time, it has been held by former Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Rachel Reeves since 2010. She pulled in 10,727 more votes than the closest competitor at the last general election.
