A new gaming centre and educational workshop has opened at Bramley Shopping Centre as a positive meeting place for young people.

The Geeks Room at unit 32 of the complex, which is suitable for children, teens and adults, aims to “promote the positives of social gaming and practical learning of the ins and outs of technology”.

The centre offers visitors games consoles such as PCs, Xbox machines, PS4s, a driving simulator and two virtual reality rooms for HTC Vive and PSVR.

Floor manager Emma Jane Kempley said: “The gaming and training centre has proven to be very good and successful with children, teenagers and adults alike in regards to education and enjoyment through gaming by providing a fun, social and safe environment and also has had success in helping customers’ skills in regards to learning and improving with technology.”
