A James Bond fan from Leeds has decked out his car with some of the gadgets immortalised by his hero.
The motoring enthusiast, who would prefer only to be known as a secret agent, spent a year working on the additions to his 2010 Aston Martin Vantage V8 4.7 litre Roadster.
Crafted in his garage at his Leeds home they include: a working water spray, rotating tyre shredder, ejector seat and rotating number plates.
Inspired by the Aston Martin driven by Sean Connery’s Bond in Goldfinger (1964) the self-confessed ‘gadget man’ has also added a ‘bullet-proof’ rear screen, a homing device for tracking other vehicles, an old telephone, rockets and a replica machine gun.
The Aston Martin will join an array of vehicles on show at The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally at Harewood House, Harewood, Leeds, on Sunday, June 21, which is Father’s Day.
To book tickets to the event call Harewood House Box Office on 0113 218 1000 or visit www.harewood.org/whats-on/event/fathers-day-classic-car-motor-show/. Ticket prices are £12 for adults, £6 for children, £9 for seniors and family tickets cost £30. People can save 10 per cent by booking in advance.
