Fryston riverside scheme 75% sold as Kier goes the extra mile

Kier Living has sold 75% of the first release of starter homes at Riverbank Meadows, it’s new residential scheme in the village of Fryston, near Castleford.

The housebuilder has secured major incentives for first-time buyers to get onto the housing ladder with prices for its two bedroom ‘Pintail’ homes from just £124,995 (or £99,996 through the Help to Buy scheme). Working with buyers to suit individual circumstances, it has also managed to complete some homes ahead of schedule.

Sam Gomersall is one such buyer who was sleeping, as an interim measure, on a friend’s sofa. Kier Living completed his first home two weeks early and with a complete furniture package included, Sam has been able to move into a new home that is fully functional.

Through Help to Buy I was able to secure my first home with just 5% deposit and Kier Living has taken care of the rest. Kier Living is building 150 new houses at Riverbank Meadows, which is just off Wheldon Road, to offer a range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes. The award-winning developer has received strong interest in the scheme due to its location adjacent to the River Aire and opposite the RSPB reserve at Fairburn Ings.

Fourteen out of the first nineteen properties released have been sold to date and Kier Living plans to release its second phase at the end of July. A new show home is also due to launch on site at the end of August.
