Free bus travel given out in support of '˜random act of kindness week'

A west Yorkshire bus company is giving away free rides as part of a scheme for a quirky holiday.

Arriva Yorkshire and Hallmark Cards teamed up for Random Acts of Kindness Week to leave 500 cards carrying inspirational messages in bus stations and on the seats of its services.

Anyone who picks up one of the cards and shares a picture on Facebook or Twitter will be given a free day’s bus travel if they include the @HallmarkUK and @arrivainyorkshire account and the hashtags #CareEnough, #RAKweek2017, #dokindness in their message. Jon Croxford, area managing director for Arriva Yorkshire said: “We really enjoyed working with Hallmark cards to spread random acts of kindness across the Yorkshire region and we hope customers tweet in a picture of their cards to claim their free Yorkshire day saver.
