Four men now arrested after fatal shooting of Raheem Wilks

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Raheem Wilks have made four fresh arrests.

Mr Wilks, the 19-year-old brother of Leeds United player Mallik Wilks, died in hospital after being shot outside a barber’s shop in Gathorne Terrace, Harehills, last Thursday.

And police last night (Friday) arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

Two other men, 28, and a 30-year-old man were also arrested last night on suspicion of asseting an offender.

Police said all remain in custody for questioning.

A 31-year-old woman from Castleford was arrest on Thursday but has now been bailed pending further enquiries.

A man, 49, arrested on suspicion of murder remains on bail while recalled to prison on separate matters, police added.

Jaydn Manners, 23, of Louis Street, Chapeltown, who was charged with the murder, has been remanded in custody by Leeds Magistrates to appear before Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday.

Keal Richards, 21, of Francis Street, Chapeltown, who has also been charged with the murder, is remanded in custody to a further hearing on March 1.
