Forensic anthropologist called in after ‘human bone’ discovered in Leeds


A forensic anthropologist is helping police after what is believed to be human bone was discovered in Leeds.

Police were called to an area of land near to Junction 45 of the M1 at east Leeds around 1.20pm mon Monday, March 2 after a report of a bone being found.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Initial indications are that it is a human bone and a scene remains in place whilst early stage enquiries are ongoing.”
