Mr Wainwright’s sister, Jo Wainwright, 33, of Tingley, said: “It is to remember James, to celebrate his life. There are so many people who miss him. He had so many friends. We want to bring everyone together on his 10 year anniversary to keep his memory alive.”

The event will be held at Mr Wainwright’s old football club Tingley Athletic - he had played for the team since he was seven years old.

After Tingley he moved on to play for Ardsley Celtic where he played until his death.

More than £700 has already been raised by family and friends.

The event, from midday to 5.30pm, will include a penalty shoot-out competition, bouncy castle, children’s fairground activities, food and face painting. The football kicks off at 2pm.
