FLOODING: Is there STILL a chance of flooding Leeds?

Red flood warnings have been in place for some rivers in Leeds this week following wintry weather over Easter and heavy downpours of rain since.

Some of those warnings and less serious alerts have now passed, with river levels returning to somewhere close to normal.

But Environment Agency officials are still warning of the potential of some stretches of water in the city after heavy rain and thundery showers hit Leeds on Tuesday.

Here is a list of the alerts in place around Leeds:

Lower River Nidd

Tidal River Ouse

Tidal River Wharfe

Flood alerts are less severe than warnings. They tell people that flooding is possible, and to be aware.

Luckily, there is no more rain forecast by the Met Office in Leeds today.
