The finishing touches are being made to the newest cocktail bar about to take the Leeds nightlife scene by storm.

East 59th opens in Victoria Gate a week today and City Buzz has been given an exclusive look around the New York themed roof-top bar.

It oozes urban industrial cool with grey walls, leather chairs and wooden bars with splashes of colour from striking art work on the walls.

The venue, is named after the street in New York where you can find owner D&D Restaurants’ venue Guastavino’s.

Paul Rogers, Senior General Manager, said: “Everyone has been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to make sure East 59th is one of the hottest new additions to the already thriving food and drink scene in Leeds.

“We can’t wait for the people of Leeds to come and try it for themselves – whether it’s one of our eye-catching cocktails on the terrace or a full American feast in our restaurant.”

In addition to panoramic views of Leeds, and Manhattan themed cocktails, East 59th offers an American-inspired menu featuring US classics such as burgers, bagels, ribs, steak and lobster.
