First Bus has cancelled all buses to a Leeds district tonight after youths pressed the emergency stop button and opened the exit doors onboard.
West Yorkshire Police has revealed that it First Bus has cancelled all buses to Halton Moor 'because of youths pressing the engine emergency stop button and opening the emergency exit door.'
The number 5 bus serves Halton Moor Avenue.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "This has a massive impact on people who need the local buses specifically the elderly and will not be tolerated.
"Any information on who is responsible please contact 101"
The buses have been cancelled for the rest of tonight (Thursday). It is not currently known whether the buses will return to normal service on Friday.
