Firefighters cut driver free from wreckage of Leeds crash

Police said extensive damage was caused to the Ford Fiesta after it crashed in Moortown shortly before 10pm.

King Lane was closed from the junction with Alwoodley Lane while emergency services worked at the scene.

Firefighters from Moortown and Cookridge helped to rescue the 19-year-old man from the car.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance with what police described as minor injuries.
