Firefighters called to blaze at Moortown home

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze at a house in Moortown shortly before midnight last night (Tuesday).

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was in the first floor attic bedroom of a house of Carr Manor Road.

Firefighters from Moortown and Leeds stations used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and positive pressure ventilation to extinguish the fire, which broke out at 11.34pm.
